Which Workout Is Best For You - Guest Post By Proactiv

June 30, 2018

When you’re looking for a good workout plan, it can seem almost impossible to find the right one for you. With all of them claiming to be the ‘perfect’ routine, how do you know which one will really benefit you?

Well, it starts with looking at your body, finding out what normal cholesterol levels should be, and checking out your current routine. From there, and with the help of this guide, you can begin to shape your workout plan!

Something You Can Actually Do

The first step to figuring out which workout plan is best for you is looking at what’s realistic. Can you work out every day, or do you have to limit yourself because of other commitments? How long can you work out for? Once you know how much time you can put into a routine, you can start to get rid of all the ones that don’t fit this.

Next, look at what’s possible for you. If you’re a complete novice with pretty bad stamina, a workout plan that requires you to run five miles every day probably isn’t for you.

By being realistic about what you can and can’t do, you can find a workout plan that’s going to be easier to maintain. If you pick something too hard, it’s likely you’re not going to be able to keep up with it, you’ll feel disappointed and maybe even give up altogether!

Look at Your Body

Taking a look at your body and health before figuring out a workout plan is essential. If you’ve got any health problems that may restrict you, take those into account, or if you’ve got any you’d like to try and improve, such as regaining normal cholesterol levels, look for plans that will help you with this.

Then, look at your body. Which areas do you want to improve the most? Your workout should cover all areas of your body, but you can alter it to work that little bit extra on the ones you want to improve the most.

What Do You Enjoy?

Finding a workout that you actually enjoy doing is essential to seeing the best results. If you hate the gym, you’re by no means obligated to go! You can work out in a number of different ways, including running, cycling, swimming and dance classes.

Find something you’re going to look forward to and create your workout plan around this. It’ll help increase your motivation and make you more likely to stick to it.

Picking your fitness plan is the first step on your journey to a healthier body and mind, so take your time and try out different ones before finding your ideal routine. It’s okay to fail the first few times – as long as you get back up and give it another go! Just keep going until you find the perfect plan.
